Though I grew up with cats, I didn't own cats in my adult life until recently. I love cats, but I wasn't able to have them for one reason or another. All that changed when my husband Steve got the cat blues, and we went looking for a cat in November, 2000. That was how we got Mirage, surely the cutest cat on the planet.

We liked having a cat around so much that in February, 2001, we had to get another cat -- Luxor, stately beauty of a cat.

(In case you're wondering...yep, we named the cats after the famous Las Vegas Strip hotels. :-) )
